A tornado was formed in northeast San Luis, Argentina, and was photographed by the inhabitants of the area.
Shortly after noon today, Monday 9, storms were beginning to form rapidly due to the advance of a new cold front. Eastern Cuyo and much of the central region of Argentina were under alert by
locally severe thunderstorms.
In that context, a storm cell moving north of San Luis province left this shocking postcard: A
tornado was formed near Tilisarao, northeast of San Luis, fortunately without being registered victims or injured at the time.
According to local testimonies, the tornado could also be seen in the nearby town of Renca. In some photos it can be seen how the tornado column darkened with respect to the base of the cloud in which it formed, probably due to the earth and debris raised by the strong inflow.
